First Spanish port introduces digital truck appointment system with passify
We are delighted to be working with TTI Algeciras to introduce an innovative truck appointment system (TAS) in a Spanish port which is a milestone for the digitalization of truck handling in Spain. It is the first port in the country to offer genuine slot booking for transport companies, making processes at the terminals more efficient, transparent, and predictable.
With the TAS, transport companies can book appointments per truck, which are automatically validated upon arrival. Bookings are made conveniently via the passify platform and are valid for a specific time slot. Existing transport orders for pickups or deliveries remain unchanged; the only change is that appointments are now booked digitally. This reduces waiting times, prevents traffic jams, and makes planning easier for drivers.
The platform also offers flexible settings for maximum trucks per hour, early and late tolerances, as well as priority and private slots. Real-time dashboards, quality ratings, and reports on punctuality, cancellations, and peak times ensure full transparency and support the continuous optimization of processes. This allows transport companies to maintain an overview at all times and use their resources efficiently.
Passify is providing dedicated support for the launch: users can contact support@passifyapp.de directly with any questions or problems. Transport companies can register for the portal free of charge at: https://truck.passifyapp.de/en/registration.
This project is an important step toward digitized and efficient truck handling and marks the first Spanish port to introduce true slot booking. With passify, all parties involved benefit from shorter waiting times, better planning, and greater transparency in processes.
Marcel Lindemann, Co-Founder of passify: “The introduction of a standardized, digital slot booking system marks a milestone for Spanish port logistics. For the first time, transport companies, drivers, and terminal operators share a single real‑time platform that removes inefficiencies and brings full transparency to the gate. This is a major step toward the future of landside operations.”
Francisco Rivera, Deputy CEO & COO, TTI Algeciras: “The TAS gives us a level of visibility and operational control we didn’t have before. By coordinating regulating the flow of truck arrivals more effectively precisely, we can reduce congestion waiting times, improve truck turnaround performance times, and offer a better experience for our transport partners. This project is an essential step in our long‑term digital transformation digitalization strategy.”
